Booking and home visits

Where do you cover?

We are based near Dartford and visit homes and workplaces within roughly ten miles, including Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Wilmington, Bexley, Swanley, Gravesend, Longfield, Ebbsfleet, Erith and Sidcup.

How do I book?

Call us or send a WhatsApp message with the treatment you are interested in, your postcode and a few times that suit you. We do not take health details through the website.

Who will visit me?

Name, profession and professional registration of the practitioner.

What do I need to have ready at home?

A comfortable chair or sofa, a table or clear surface nearby, and good light. For skin treatments, a spot near a window or a bright lamp is ideal.

Is it safe to have treatments at home?

We bring sterile, single-use equipment for every client, follow the same hygiene standards as a clinic, and take all needles and clinical waste away with us for safe disposal. Every treatment starts with a consultation, and we will tell you if something is not right for you.

How do I pay?

Accepted payment methods.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancellation policy, e.g. notice period.

Home Blood Draws

Can you take blood for a kit I bought online?

Usually yes, if the kit is designed for a sample taken from a vein. Send us the name of the test when you get in touch and we will confirm.

How long does a home blood draw take?

The sample itself only takes a few minutes. We allow time to check your details, settle you comfortably and make sure you feel well afterwards.

Who sends the sample to the lab?

We package the sample following your test provider’s instructions. Confirm whether The IVy posts or couriers samples, or the client does.

Blood Tests

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Only some tests need fasting, such as certain cholesterol and glucose tests. We will tell you when you book.

Will my GP see my results?

Not automatically. Your results are yours, and you can share them with your GP if you want to.

Which laboratory do you use?

Samples are analysed by partner laboratory and its accreditation.

IV Therapy

Does an IV drip hurt?

You will feel a sharp scratch when the cannula goes in. After that most people feel very little, and you can relax, read or watch something while the drip runs.

How long does IV therapy take?

It depends on what is being given. We will tell you how long to allow before we start.

Why can’t I see a drip menu?

UK rules do not allow prescription-only medicines to be advertised to the public, and many IV ingredients fall into that category. What is appropriate for you is decided at your consultation, not chosen from a list.

Microneedling

Does microneedling hurt?

Most people describe it as uncomfortable rather than painful, especially with numbing cream. Bonier areas such as the forehead can feel more noticeable.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Many people have a course of sessions a few weeks apart, but we will recommend a plan at your consultation and you are never committed to more than one.

Can microneedling be combined with PRP?

Yes. PRP can be applied to the skin during microneedling instead of a serum. See our PRP page for more.

PRP

Is PRP the same as a “vampire facial”?

“Vampire facial” is a popular name for PRP combined with microneedling on the face. It is the same principle: plasma from your own blood applied to the skin.

How many PRP sessions are usually needed?

It varies by person and treatment area. We will suggest a plan at your consultation, and you only commit to one session at a time.

Is there downtime after PRP?

Expect some redness, and possibly small bruises where injections were given, for a day or two. We will explain what to expect for your treatment area.

Ready to book a home visit?

Call or send us a WhatsApp message with the treatment you are interested in and your postcode. We will get back to you to arrange a time.
